The Partnership Project scheme aims to support the work of healthcare policy and service delivery implementation agencies by supporting the translation of research outcomes into policy and practice and the evaluation of current policy and practice to identify gaps in knowledge. Gilead Sciences Solid Tumors

Gilead’s Research Scholars Program has been designed to support pre-clinical and clinical research in the field of Oncology Solid Tumors in Australia, Canada, and Europe. The 2025 program is focusing on Breast, Bladder, Upper GI and Lung cancer.

Application requirements

The grant is for early career researchers who focus their research on breast, bladder, upper gastrointestinal , or lung cancer.

Applicants must:

  • Hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree at time of application submission
  • MD qualifications would have to have been obtained within the last 10 years and PhD qualifications would have to have been obtained within the last 5 years
  • Early career scientists with a strong track record of published research, who hold a position at a research institution for the duration of the award tenure
  • Have a strong career interest in Oncology Solid Tumors
  • Have a research mentor with extensive experience in their field of Oncology Solid Tumors (co-mentorship is accepted)
  • Be able to devote at least 30% of their professional time to research for the next two years (versus administrative, patient care, or teaching responsibilities)
  • Be able to complete the proposed research within the 2-year award period, providing evidence (manuscript, presentation, or abstracts) resulting from the research
  • Proposals utilising Gilead and Kite product(s) are not eligible for funding through the Research Scholars Program.
