Lung Cancer Screening Program
On 2 May 2023, the Minister for Health and Aged Care announced $263.8 million over four years for a National Lung Cancer Screening Program (LCSP). TOGA welcomed the news as this program will facilitate detection of lung cancer at an earlier stage, significantly improving chances of survival.
The proposed LCSP will offer screening to high-risk candidates: Australians over 50 years who currently smoke or who have previously smoked and meet internationally validated risk assessment criteria. Participants will be eligible for screening until they are 70 years old.

Fundraising for TOGA
Fundraising is one of the ways that you can help make a significant difference in the lives of lung cancer patients. Our work depends on ongoing contributions from our amazing fundraisers, sponsors and supporters in the community.
Whether you are taking part in a personal challenge, requesting donations in lieu of gifts for a special occasion or setting up an online fundraising page, you are making a difference.
To make fundraising for TOGA even easier, we’ve partnered with Grassrootz to give you the ability to create your own online fundraising page.

Running for #TeamTOGA
#TeamTOGA is a group of individuals who walk or run to raise money for lung cancer and mesothelioma research by participating in marathons or walking events and collecting donations and sponsors through their own personal fundraising page.
Thank you to all the members and supporters who raised funds and awareness for lung cancer research last year. The funds raised at these events will make a difference to the life of someone who has lung cancer.
