A/Prof Tara Roberts heads the Cancer and Inflammation laboratory at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research and is the current Director of Research, School of Medicine Western Sydney University. She is also the pillar lead for Personalised Care and Precision Medicine at the Australian Centre for Cancer Equity. A/Prof Roberts’ research group focuses on the contribution of DNA damage repair and the individual patient’s immune system to cancer treatment response and how this knowledge can be leveraged for precision medicine. The group has current projects in lung, colorectal, gastric and prostate cancer and the use of liquid biopsy as a non-invasive method for personalised care.
