Dr Adithya (Adi) Balasubramanian is a medical oncologist at Monash Health and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, with a clinical and research focus on thoracic cancers. He seeks to integrate translational research into patient-centred care, with his PhD utilising functional genomics to identify novel immunotherapeutic targets in lung cancer. In 2023, he was awarded a research fellowship to extend this work at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the University of Cambridge. His work has been published in leading journals, including The Lancet Oncology, Cancer Cell, Clinical Cancer Research, and the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, and has been recognised through competitive national and international grants and awards.
